Title: Mach3 in KX1
Post by: Aussie John on September 21, 2017, 07:29:19 PM
We were told not to have the mill computer on line. is there any way to download information and copy to disc and put on the computer the mill is using?
We have a KX1 using Mach3, 25 pin cable between Mill and Computer. The Mill has not been used for two and half years. lost part of fingers and now want to start milling again. Cleaned all of terminals with electrical cleaner.  Computer hard drive went, had a new one fitted and now have know idea how to set up the config section, motor outputs and input, output, encoder/MPG's  Spindle and mill options.
We do engraving and mill aluminium holes so on.
Is there some where we can get a list of what X.Y.Z pin to use what motor settings (tried to set motor, only got it go very slow and made crunching noise) None of the key board functions are working.  Up, Down arrow keys.
Pretty sad when we have been using for 6 years and have know idea how it works. :C
Cheers

Hi Aussie John,

Download and install Mach3 version .062 on your new computer drive ftp://anonymous:guest@ftp.machsupport.com/Mach3/Mach3Version3.043.062.exe

Download and extract the file Mach3Mill.xml from the attached Zip folder. Copy the Mach3Mill.xml file to your Mach3 folder (it will overwrite the existing file).

Now, when you run Mach3, it should have all the correct Sieg KX1 Mach3 settings ( with a bit of luck  ;)  ).
