Title: Panasonic servo motor mdma152p1c parameter setting?
Post by: egoogle on August 09, 2017, 07:40:53 AM
Hi everyone!
I bought used Panasonic ac servo motor mdma152p1c with MDDDT5540003 drive/amplifier.
Four wires are coming out from CN-X5 (50 pin) connector. Amongst these 4 wires, I connect 2 wires into mach3 5 axis breakout board for pulse and direction. And with remaining other two wires,
I make connection to 24vdc power supply and adjust it to use 18vdc for control signals. (Bearing in mind the polarity of control signaling wires)

Now my motor is moving using mach3 X axis navigation keys.
The problems I'm facing at the moment are:
1. Motor is moving very slow.
2. Just moving in one direction only.
i.e. By pressing
X+ start moving
X-  stop moving

Servo drive/amplifier is set on position control mode. Manual jogging is working fine upto maximum available limit i.e. 500 revolution per minute

Please help me. I'm struggling to solve this from the last couple of weeks.
Breakout board is giving out (0 - 4.92) volts for direction change on multimeter.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
what terminals in the CN-X5 connector are the wires hooked to?

That will determine which of the two wiring schemes on page B24 of the manual that you'll need to use.

I suspect that you will need a couple of transistors to signal the drive properly. What BoB are you using? Do you have a circuit diagram for the output
pins of the BoB?
