Title: stepper advice

Hello

     can you run a stepper motor as a spindle,I set one up in the ports and pins as spindle and tuned the motor a few differant ways
but it wont run real smooth.if i switch it back to any axis it will run smooth.is it possible to run a stepper as a constant speed spindle.

it should work... check the Acceleration settings and also check that you don't have the pins assigned to any other  axis

        thanks for the reply.I have it smoothed out now.When running the setup in sherline mode machine runs well,step motor on spindle
 runs rough and week.took setup out of sherline mode,set pulse width to 10, now spindle step motor runs smooth.the rest of the motors
still seem to be ok.when i run the next big part i will find out if all is allright.
