Title: Mach 4 brains
Post by: N4NV on July 02, 2017, 08:26:45 AM
As I understand it there are no brains in Mach 4.  I am using Mach 3 and use a brain to communicate with a Cubloc PLC through the serial port to do a tool change on my lathe.  How can I do that in Mach 4?

Thanks,

Vince

Hi,
latest builds of Mach4 have PLC funtionality. Check recent threads...there is at least one of interest.

Configure > PMC

Cool, i'll look through the manual to see how to implement it.  It would be nice if I can get rid of the cubloc.

I just searched the latest Mach 4 manual and no hits for PMC.  Is there documentation somewhere else?

Look in your C:\Mach4Hobby\DOCS folder and double click on the PmcEditor.chm file.

You may not see the .chm file name extension, depending on your OS and configuration.

If you installed Mach4Hobby in other than the default location, adjust where you look
accordingly.

If you have Mach4 running, you can click on Help > Documentation Folder
