I downloaded and installed the Mach4 demo, and it fired up ok. Clicking the MDI tab prompts for a password, but the documentation doesn't mention it. Any suggestions?

Last night I set up a virgin Windows7 64 bit machine for testing. I downloaded
build 3390 of Mach4 and installed it to run in DEMO mode. The default firewall in
Windows7 did generate a pop-up dialog about network access each time that
I started Mach4. I declined to give Mach4 network access.
Mach4 ran normally including configuration, jogging, G-code execution, and
specifically it did NOT generate any password request for MDI usage.
The only thing that I can think of that would ask for a password would be if
you somehow installed something with a Locked Screen Set. If you would
like further assistance, I would recommend capturing and posting a screen
image when this happens. Also provide information on what build of Mach4
and what OS you are running.

I'm running Windows 10, and attempted this install just the other day; so I also got Mach4_Hobby build 2.0.3390. This is my first peek at Mach4, so I don't know anything about locking screens; all I did was create a profile per the install instructions. It looks like I used the OrthoMill screen set, and it looked ok, so I kept it. I went back and created another profile and selected the wxMach screen set, and it looks ok and it doesn't have the password prompt. So, I guess the problem was with the OrthoMill screen set. Anyway, thanks for the hint. I think I am up and running now. :)

You might want to change your screenset to wx4 as this is the most updated screenset.
