Hi, Bought Mach4 yesterday and i do like it for now as i still doing some setup, Have connected the mister on relay, and dust collector (not assigned an M code yet)
Homing works great, probing doesnt (and lots have problems with it)
But what is really annoying is:
If i do homing, I have to push reset after
If i use an MDI command, i need to reset after
If i run a test file i need to reset... guess you see the point by now.
Also, when i do run some of my older files in "Airmode" for testing, it kinda stops on M codes all the time.. then i have to push reset and then Cycle start again.. This cant be right ?
I noticed this between 2 different cuts on one file, One was roughing and next one was a finnishing cut.. and it stopped after roughing and didnt continue with the finnishing cut.. i then had to push reset and then cycle start again.
The file doesnt change tool or anything, only cut speed and dept mainly..
Also, anyone got a toolchange script like the 2010 screenset for mach3 ? Anyone working on it ?

What you are describing is all motion controller/plugin related. Probing works fine if the motion controller supports it. The requiring reset all of the time indicates to me that the motion plugin is not correctly telling Mach when it has performed all of the requested movements. If you open up the Mach log, you will probably see something like "waiting on motor stop report". Also, this may happen if you have enabled an axis in Mach but not in the motion plugin, etc.. In this case, Mach will be waiting on a stop report for a motor that the motion plugin is not controlling.
