Title: Y axis doesn't work
Post by: Alex2017 on May 16, 2017, 04:38:07 PM
I installed mach3 according to the instructions from the tutorials and X and Z axis ( motors) work well when Y axis (2 motors) don't get any input... actually one motor from Y axis shivering a little ...  I check the motors ... chaged them and they all work fine when they are connected on X and Z axis. Any suggestions or tips? THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

You have two motors driving your Y axis. Do you have one motor configured as the Y axis and the other motor configured as the A axis with the pair 'slaved' in the Mach3 configuration ?

Hi Tweakle, thanks for having you here :) The story goes like this. I bought the machine over Ebay with a mach3 trial version and the motors run ok. After I purchase license and upgrade the Mach... motors started to behave strange. First they run ok for a second and then start to  shake and run and shake... than I disconect all and reconnect again and ... now is like I described in my previous message. I think this must be connected with a configuration... since I did not get any informations from the seller, I need to find the solution in any other way... and now I am here :)
You mentioned the " configured as the A axis with the pair 'slaved' " I don't know how to do that. I tried to find in Mach3 documentation, but so far not succesfull. Any tip or suggestion?

The Mach3 manual can be found here: http://www.machsupport.com/help-learning/product-manuals/

Take a read through the Mach3 manual then come back here and we will try to resolve the problem.
