Title: G92 and all the evils that come from the cabinet with it...
Post by: G92 on April 13, 2017, 07:24:40 PM
First off I would like to congratulate Artsoft on their software. period. I was never sold on PC based cnc's when they first came in into main stream engineering, graphic cards going down, and crashing coz the Mrs emailed for a pint of milk, and all sorts of things unmicron like. But my copy of Mach3 is bullet proof, and does what it says on the tin. And for my second machine I will buy another copy of Mach3.

I started on GE controls, G code in the early 80's, and G92 was our first port of call to cut a second, third, forth...part... and on...count your G92 and return or zero  return the machine...then G92 X.0 Y.0 and repeat. both mind blowing and mistake making on the poor operator.

Today I'm G92'ing my way across, when in the past M32 Mazatrol gave me 1000 WPC centres....and that is what I'm hunting for? is there a macro in Mach3? I could do with around 40 work shifts at least! nesting is where I'm looking at...make the most of what I've got on the table.

Thanks G92

G54 - G59, plus G59P1 through G59P255 I think. Check the manual for the syntax, but there are ±250 offsets available.
