Title: USB to 25 pin break out board

The PC has a USB port.
The machine controller has a 25 pin break-out board  (C10).
Is it possible to run mach3 using a simple USB to 25pin lp1 cable?
I'm guessing there is more to it.

The C10 needs a printer parallel port to connect to PC with a good parallel printer cable which means all pins on that cable should be through from one end to the other. You can get an old PC with a printer cable port for about $20-35 and the older the PC the better. But you can also add a printer port card to your PC.
