Hello
I have a probe that has a 5 volt output that goes to zero when it is active. Can this be connected to the Integra and what would be the best way to do this?
Thanks
Steve

Hello Steve,
For a 5 Volts probe, you can use pin12 on J10 of the Integra as this is a TTL Digital Input.
Make sure you power the probe with the 5Volts available on J11.

How do you access the state of J10 pin12? This is listed as "reserved" in the manual and there is no description of how to access the state?

Sorry pin12 is not mapped in the software. however you can use other pins on J10, eg 6,7,8, and 9. These are already mapped to HiCON port 14 pins 4,2,0, and 6.
Use a simple switch or an open collector / open drain type output to drive these pins to ground / 0v. They are pulled up inside the unit to 3.3v, so your external output will just pull it down. To verify your output is safe for integra, take a 4.7K 1/4w resister, tie one end to the output, and the other end of the resister to 3.3volts on J6 (2nd pin from Ethernet port, label is wrong on it, should say 3.3v). turn on the output, it should read 0 volts. turn off the output, it should read 3.3volts.
regards.

I noticed that pin12 is actually showing in the diagnostics screen when I sink that pin as well. Is there any reason that I can't use this as an input in my pendant construction? it appears to be mappable.

yeah if it does show up in the diag window then go for it. Which controller model are you testing with?
