Title: z axis suddenly only travels in up direction

I either had a power failure or computer died while I was doing a cutting operation. The computer just turned off. When I turned it back on and loaded Mach 3 my z axis is now moving only up no matter which key I press. The screen is showing correct directions. There is no problem with x and y axis. It was all working fine before this incident.

It seems to be a hardware issue. I pulled the wires from the parallel port board and relocated them and now it works.

Computer died again and now the new pins are no good in the breakout board. I now only have 2 sets of functioning pins but 3 drivers. If I swap wires around I can get z axis to work so I know all drivers and motors are working. I can replace this breakout board but I'm concerned this is not the cause of the problem and I will ruin another board.
