Title: Mach3 safety switch wiring

I am using a N/O switch. One leg connected ground other leg connected to pin input pin 2.  Just. Testing one switch nothing happens.
Have inport pin one and pin is #2.   Active low.  Please advise where I am going wrong.

Does your BOB work that way or does it need say one pin to 5v and the other to the input - pull up or pull down

Apologies, BOB = Break Out Board = the board that connects your inputs / outputs to your PC
