Title: A dumb question
Post by: Naijin on February 20, 2017, 12:15:52 AM
Hi there, I have been using Mach 3 for a while now but did not have the nerve to try it out:  If I am running a G Code program e.g.  cutting a shape or v carving and I have a joy stick type of device for moving the axis while jogging, If I was to move the joy stick while the program is running will it  a: stop the program
b: do nothing or  c: crash the system?.... is there a built in safety feature that cuts the joy stick off while a program is running?   ??? >:(

You can't jog while a program is running.

Thanks Daveko974, I thought that may have been the case, but not game enough to find out the hard way!

Always best to test it - just run a program cutting in air with no tool fitted and press the buttons. :)
