Hi. I am going to manufacture a probe for my router on screen set 2010.
I have already setup the auto tool zero which looks for a closed circuit ie I think a high-low.
The probes I have looked at are a break in the circuit. So must be a low-high. Do I need to design a circuit to break on contact in order to use the two together?
-
I guess I would use a PNP transistor circuit?

There's a workaround that you can try, using Brains.
Set up each probe on separate inputs, and create a Brain that has those inputs trigger the probe input.

Hi Gerry. Mate I have not even the tiny microest idea on even how to begin building a brain! Ha ha.
I will do it electronically. Shouldn't be too hard and will be a solid reliable solution. Actually when I do suss it I will post the diagram. I am expecting a simple PNP circuit will do it although I will need to ensure there is no lag in the circuit.

I believe I've posted the Brain here somewhere, but have no idea where.

I wonder what would be more reliable? Software or hardware.
-
My money would be on hardware ;)
Easier to debug too.

Its a very simple circuit. I would imagine it depends on whom is building the system and how they are biased. On/Off/On/Off or 1/0/1/0/1/0 LOL!
-
Ok! I dont know if anyone will use this but I sorted a simple NPN circuit to enable Mach 3 2010 users already using the fixed plate option to install a break connection probe. I set mine up yesterday and it works great.
Any questions or trouble encountered let me know and i will try to help. Although it is so robust I would hope its fine.
Hey but also if there are any out there that have a better way of creating a break to make circuit I am keen to see. We are all learning.
Kind Regards

Any chance you can make picture a little smaller? :)

Just for you Dave ;)
Tweakie.

:)
Thanks
