Title: z axis and xpod problem 6040z
Post by: PYACHTS-HARD on February 02, 2017, 11:22:02 AM
Hi All

we got a 4 axis cnc cutter to use for cutting out simple templates but now after 6months of working fine, the machine sometimes stops or the z axis does work or get I an error saying xpod not connected.

I have tried rebooting, different usb leads, replacing lead to z axis stepper motor. I believe its the usb board inside the box.

Do anyone know a way of fault testing the usb board or a suitable replacement?

thanks in advance

Can you give us some more details about your machine...

What controller are you using ?
(a picture would be good)

I presume you are not using an XPod for wireless connection but a USB cable ?

If this is the case then any reference to xpod indicates some problems within the USB plugin for your controller. Try uninstalling and deleting the plugin and then re-installing.
