Hello. I design my own screenset for MACH 3 in machscreen program.
Does anybody know how to set password to protect it from changes?

there is no way to put a password on your screenset. You can only protect your macros by saving them as precompiled (*.mcc).

I have a screenset (in German). It was sent by my client. So, when I try to load it to machscreen program, the window for password entering is appeared. If I enter the wrong password (I don't know the correct one), machscreen doesn't show any components of the screenset and I can't change anything. How is it possible?

I know of two German screensets with a password. Their Password must have been implemented by ArtSoft. In my previous answer I thought you were looking for a way to set a password in a self designed screenset.

Why not just ask your client for the password? :)
There are a number of ways to provide protection.
I will candidly say that since it's protected, for whatever reason,
the intent of protection should be respected. With that thought in mind
no more insight is provided.

There is misunderstanding. I don't want their password. When I started to design my screenset I thought that tere is no way to set a protection with password. But suddenly I saw this protected screen and I thought that somebody found the way.
So, as I understood, if I make my screenset, and I want to sell it, then anybody who bought it can change everything except of precompiled macroses. Am I right?

Yes, you are correct.
But please be aware that the protection of the various button macro's is really not that secure either.

You just need to arrive at accepting the fact that some will pay for the screen set, some will will not but will still use it for free. Others will modify, copy, etc for whatever purpose.
These days about the only thing secure is something that only you have and have not shared.
One can invest a lot of time doing a screen set.

I've been selling the same screenset for about 7 years now, and it appears that the vast majority (99.99%?) of people that have purchased have been very honest. I've never seen any copies floating around, and I still sell a fair amount after 7 years.
If you make something that people want, they'll be more than happy to pay for it.

witch part of Klaus answer is so hard to understand
