Title: Mach not responding
Post by: Toad on January 19, 2017, 03:48:08 PM
Good day all,
My keypad for Mach has quit working.
I tried setting up a Shuttle Pro for Mach. Never did get it working correctly, but during the process, I went back to Mach and discovered the Eithernet-smoothstepper had quit working also.  I uninstalled the the Shuttle program, and tried again. I finally got the Smooth-Stepper working.
The PC will run a program now, but the Mach screen can not be controlled by the keypad. I tried reloading Mach thinking I may have deleted something I should not have, but no change. Your assistance in getting it fixed would be much appreciated.
Toad.

Although you re-installed Mach3 you may still have a corrupt .xml file.
From the Mach3 / xmlbackups folder select an xb# file from a date before the problem occurred. Copy it and change the file extension to .xml then copy it into the Mach3 folder.

Thanks for your help,
I got the machine responding when I use the Tab control, but if I switch back to the keyboard, nothing responds. All works when I run a program, just keyboard is dead as far as moving Axes XYX. I tried going to Config hot keys, but it didn't  make any difference.
Your thoughts?

Also, when I hit spindle stop, it slows down to 120 RPM, but does not stop till I hit the stop button.

Now the only thing left is the spindle not stopping completely.
