Title: Change or rename bitmap directory?
Post by: frige on December 29, 2016, 07:52:51 PM
Is there a way to change the directory that the bitmaps are located in?

For example, I started with ABC.set with bitmaps in bitmaps/ABC
I made modifications - saved as XYZ.set
Now I want to copy the ABC bitmap folder to XYZ and have XYZ.set reference that instead of the ABC directory.

Why not just rename ABC.set to something like ABCoriginal.set?
Name the revised one ABC.set and keep all the bitmaps in the same  one place.

The screen designer provides for defining the path for any created bitmap to be used in the set.

Hi Frige

there is no direct way to do that, But you can switch to the "Overview" view. In there you can edit the "path Image" column of the bitmaps. When finished with that dont forget to save.

Klaus,
Not direct but export the info, manipulate in spread sheet, import the info back in from spread sheet.
Similar thought for locations of things since  the locations and sizes are available such that all of it can be used in Cad for easier manipulation of aligning lots of stuff and able to have "skeleton" layout with dro / button numbers etc which provide for easier scripting .

Not sure how much above  would be used by folks, but something for you to consider.

I'm an idiot.
I saw the file path on the overview, but didnt realize I could double-click to edit.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

It would be nice to be able to click an item in the overview, and then have it selected in the design view.
I'm having trouble selecting some text items in the screen I'm modifying.

Hi

@Rich as you say, how many would use that feature

@frige what kind of problem do you have? If you have problems selecting a control, because it is close to another iitem, you could use the multiple selection feature (you can toggle from single to multiple selection using the toolbar  "1" / "M")
if you have problems finding the text-control in the overview, you could use sorting a column, e.g page, or Txt on ctrl
