Title: Looking for a relay for a strobe light/lightning
Post by: lukejenson on September 26, 2016, 07:02:33 PM
What I'm trying to do is essentially make a strobe light. I have a lighting machine what uses 110 for the output for the lights to create lightning. I also have a 100w led that runs on dc 34v. I'm trying to find a relay that will be fast and play nice with everything. I'm considering an option from Weidmuller but it is pricey. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I use these

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1pcs-solid-state-relay-SSR-25DA-25A-3-32V-DC-TO-24-380V-AC-SSR/32663806352.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.97.iCwyC8

they have them in different "coil" voltages etc only problem with them is they have a big footprint, and the 2 week post time

Hi. Thank you for the suggestion. I do not recognize the brand name on that relay. It looks exactly like IDEC's hockey puck relays.
