Title: limit switches
Post by: sm on July 09, 2016, 02:45:33 PM
Hello Everyone.
I have tb6560 controller board configured with mach3. I have limit switches set and configured. they are working fine, however, each time the axis reaches the limit switch and upon reseting it, when I try to move axis away from that point, motor makes lot of noise and moves extremely slow. once I moved it enough to unlock limit switch and release the keyboard, and then press the same keyboard key again - it moves with normal speed. can anyone tell me please why is that and how to fix it?
thank you in advance.

From what I understand and set my machine. Go to homing and limits. I manually jogged to furthest before setting off limit switch, that is your soft limit+, jot down the reading on the dro for each axis and program those into soft limtis. Your machine should warn you if your workpeice is out of machinable area. Keep 0 if not using home switches. This way you shouldnt hit the switches unless its an emergency then in that case it saves you.
