Title: Mach3 with SmoothStepper connected, causing computer to restart
Post by: Roar on May 16, 2016, 10:29:36 AM
When i start the Mach3 with SmoothStepper connected,my pc resets itself.

I use a SmoothStepper,so i get up (TheESS has an invalid bootloader signature)

So i need to turn off the power to SmoothStepper and start mach3 again this time,mach3 with SmoothStepper is working without PC being reset

Always when I start the pc this happens, only if i start Mach3 with SmoothStepper connected.

What could be wrong?

My pc is brand new,i use Windows 8.1 pro and is 64-bit.

looks like I have solved the problem.

Windows 8.1 have a Hybrid Shutdown feature, this must be Disabled.
Mach3 with SmoothStepper is working now, without PC reset at first attempt :D :D

Hello

I think I have solved my problem, my computer have kernel-power 41 (63) error.

I believe i have a possible fix. Control panel > system and security -> system> advanced system settings -> advanced tab -> startup and recovery. - when you enter the startup and recovery, go down to "write debugging information", and check the box to "NONE". Im not sure if it fixes the problem completely, but it will stop those annoying system reboots that occur everyday.

After I did this,my computer has not reset itself on 3 days,is not a good solution, but works.

So there are driver error somewhere in the system.I have read on the internet i could be the audio driver,if you have more than one installed,I had 3 installed so i delet 2 of them, maybe this will fix the problem,i have put back write debugging information again, see if it was audio driver error.

I have tested the memory, hard drive, power supply and motherboard, nothing wrong.
