Title: TOOLPATH
Post by: GRAYHIL on May 07, 2016, 05:31:04 PM
Hi all
Version 062 on Win 7
When I load the attached program and look at the program limits on the Toolpath display it displays
x-.125 x+.5347
y-.125  y1.2104
If I then set the scale to x-1 for a mirror image and regenerate the toolpath display I get
x-.5437 y+.125
y-.125  y+1.3365
I can understand the x changing sides but why does the y change as I have not altered that y scale?

It looks like the Y1.2104 is wrong.
It should be 1.3365 in both cases.

Thank you Gerry
Is it a fault in Mach 3 version 62 then?
I will run the program and see what happens when I do the second side.

I think it's just a bug in the value of the limits that's displayed. If you jog the machine so that the line on the toolpath display is aligned with the very top of the toolpath, you'll see that the part is in the same location both ways.

Hi Gerry
I planned to do something similar but by mounting a clock gauge on the Y axis and physically running both variants without a tool to see if the clock read the same.
