Title: Mach3 loosing reference point ZeroX
Post by: jedik on March 26, 2016, 11:06:54 AM
Hello,
I am using chinese cnc router 6060 for aluminium. When i am milling my g-code program reference pointX is replace +0.3mm at the end.

I have added picture of cutting rectangle from 5mm aluminium sheet, deviation in X axis is increasing after one full circle (0.3 Z axis depth for passing)

After converting the x-axis with y in the physical driver, shift appeared in Y axis. I use Mach3 R3.041 with
USB E-CUT driver http://www.cnczone.com/forums/attachments/4/7/1/5/0/6/426584.attach (http://www.cnczone.com/forums/attachments/4/7/1/5/0/6/426584.attach) stepper motor is 86BYGH450  http://duowei.cc/china/86bygh450.pdf (http://duowei.cc/china/86bygh450.pdf)

I use HsmWorks with solid works for cam.

Many thanks in advance,

Przemek

Sounds like its losing a few steps on that axis.

What are the cut parameters ?

I guess this is a stepper drive machine but does it use ballscrews?

i have switched connection x with y from stepper motor to the physical driver and ZeroX started working good but ZeroY lost reference.

I have cutted a base point on XY plate and start my g-code program without material. When i get spindle back to the base point Y is correct and X is was shifted 0.3mm

Pleas i need help

This would seem to me to indicate that the fault lies within that stepper motor driver. Check it's settings (in particular Motor Current) and also check if the settings within Mach3 are the same (in particular the step Active High/Low) for X and Y axes - if nothing can be found then perhaps consider replacement of this particular motor driver.

Yes, check the dip switch settings are the same for both the X and Y.
