Title: peck clearance height
Post by: SteveK on March 15, 2016, 09:48:34 PM
i've never noticed before but tonight when i wrote a basic g83 program (g83 x 3 y 4 r.05 z-.575 q.05 f3) it rapids to .05, does a peck and retracts to .05 then up to .25
it is leaving about 1/4 inch before it starts redrilling after each peck. it cuts more air than material.  g98, g99, g73, g73 pullback...nothing matters

any help on this?

Go to Config drop down menu; Ports and Pins; Mill Options; General Options, and look at the box for G73 Pullback, and enter a value.
This may be the problem if you find .25 there.
