Title: SPINDLE FREQUENCY?
Post by: marlondave on February 16, 2016, 12:17:41 PM
I bought and installed a 1.5kw water cooled spindle which is run by a requisite inverter. Now whenever I switch the spindle on it triggers the limit switches and I can't reset it until I switch the spindle off. I'm virtually at a stand-still. Any help? The spindle runs independently of the Mach software by the way.

I am a newbie here and still learning, but sounds like you need shielded cable. I am sure the more experienced  people here can explain but the electrical noise from the inverter can trigger an Estop

I think you may be right Bill, so I'm going to do just that...fingers crossed. :)

You can add some debounce to your settings... That will aide in removing or masking some of the noise

Check your cable routing.

You can add some 0.1uF ceramic capacitors (100nF)
