Title: axis stall

Hi all.....peculiar problem.....if i jog Z up...then go x+y+ at the same time.....xy stall....if i then jog z down...no stall in same direction..???
backlash is not on

This does indeed sound a bit weird.
Which version of Mach3 are you using ??

If you attach your .xml file (the one from your Mach3 folder named <your profile>.xml [typically Mach3Mill.xml]) copy and rename it to paragon.xml then use the 'Reply' tab and Additional Options to post it - I will see if I can spot any problems in your set-up that may be causing the issue.

Hi...thanks for help..if problem cannot be solved , is there any workaround that would drop z a fraction before moving in xy ..?? (every move)

Just from an initial look at your .xml may I suggest the following…

Config. / Ports & Pins / Motor Outputs  -  change Step Pin # for A Axis from 5 to 8.
Config. / Motor Tuning  -  reduce Velocity for both X and Y axes from 400 to 300 & save each change.
Config. / General Config  -  Uncheck Use Watchdogs,  Increase LookAhead to 200.

Please see if that makes any difference.

Did all....same result...

More info...on pc restart only, jog y- and z+,y+ move...also y- jumps and stalls......jog z and all is ok other than original problem..?

Can you provide some details of your system...

Make & model (or details) of...

Your PC ?
Your CNC controller ?
Anything else connected to the system ?

Which version of Mach3 are you using ?
