Hi,
I have commercial X/Y table, which is originally designed for another use than CNC.
System based on Parker ACR9000 controller and Aries AR-04 drivers + servo motors.
System not support control over parallel port and therefore looks that it's a bit tricky to control system with Mach3.
ACR9000 support ethernet, USB and serial cable and with Parkers own control SW, I can move table, so basically system is functional in the electrical point of view.
Is there any ideas, how to control ACR9000 with Mach3?

You will Have to write a Motion Plugin to interface your Controller to Mach3.

Even ACR9000 seems to be a really smart device, sounds that it's easier to replace ACR9000 with cheap chinese parallel port controller to get system up an running. I'm HW guy and I don't have time to write code, if there is HW solution available :)
It's also cost efficient solution to replace expensive ACR with another controller.

Had a quick search and it seems the ACR9000 may output Step/Dir signals. If that is the case then your drives must accept Step/Dir.
So assuming both of the above to be correct you could replace the ACR9000 with one of the motion controls that work with Mach. You could even possibly just use the parallel port but that would depend on the pulses per unit required for the drives and the velocity you wish.

I also have an old ACR9000 lying around that I would like to use with for some project in the future.
