The is a posting on another CNC site stating that ArtSoft has layed off it's programmers? If this is true what is the future of Mach 4?
-
That be news to me.
Care to share the link ?
I doubt that it is official.
Holiday break maybe ? ? ?
Doesn't sound likely ..... but, ya never know. ::)

Post a link or you are simply spreading rumors. Well, it may be a rumor even *if* you supply a link, but without a link is it wholly unsubstantiated. Or am I just feeding the post-holiday troll here?

Here's the post he's referring to:
I heard newfangled solutions layed off all of thier programmers so Mach 4 could be even further away from completion than you think.
Not terribly informative.

Hi Ger,
Do you have the link to the conversation ?
-
It's not even a conversation. That was all that was posted. It's in a thread at CNC Zone about another control software.
TP asked him for more info, but he hasn't replied.

BS then
-
ditto .. thanks
-
well it cant be true as element are still using there version of M4, and bob would know and the other reseller

Purley 100% inaccurate rumor. Whoever started it obviously didn't get any toys for Christmas (probably because they were bad) and needed to find a way to pass the time. Thier chosen method................. Drama Queening. ::)

You know, in any business enterprise there are those who stand to profit from any trouble.
You know the type, we've all seen them in the various forums, I recently kicked such an abomination
from the yahoo groups. . Its no secret there are a few with noses out of joint over Mach4's more business like and professional stature as a CNC controller, and probably even more upset to see it compete with higher levels of software. Some companies for example begin to think of a market as "theirs" and get a bit touchy about new competition.
Such is life in development land. Over the years Ive had a few naysayers and trouble makers assail me as well, My advice on rumors?, "show me the beef". Mach4's programmers sound too busy if anything to me, Ive seen version after version rolling off the presses as various changes get made, the only rumors I hear is that Mach4 is successful, busy and likely to be around a very long time. ( and the rumors I hear may be better sourced ..).
Tis the day before New Year,
The morons are out,
The rumors they fly,
The "Horror" , they shout..
Its almost as if they wish one to pivot,
it seems that a village is missing its idiot.
yeah, I know.. but it IS new years eve...lol
