good, only say what you can back up or is a fact

I think 21 posts a day does hold the record (unfortunately most of them were rants about cars, brakes, brick walls etc. and nothing to do with the actual problem which incidentally Gerry identified in reply #2).
Tweakie.

With the very WIDE variety of possible controllers and setups today it is VERY hard to trouble shoot Mach3 anymore . After you have to ask 20 times about their setup they get agravated at you. MOST do not want to believe that most of their problems are plugin related and are unique to teh Plugins hardware and NOT really a MACH3 issue. When you try to send them back to teh Plugin writer /Hardware OEM they get offended. Cause we are ALL paid very well to be here. At least I was told that many times (;-).
It is funny that people ask what are they going to do when Mach3 is finally not offered any more I remind them that no one has worked on Mach3 for years what would make that any different . The website is what keeps Mach3 going strong. Yous guys should be proud (;-)

you, ger and tweakie are the biggest cotripaters to this forum, the last twat I sorted out, I had to do it the hard way I had to make him fail to see how wrong he was, I have not heard from him sinces I made him fail.
but that was the only way to make him realize that you can't load a DXF into M3, it needs a Gcode
-
I hope no one will spend their time dealing with such nonsense. I believe those that do not want to know anything about their machine or how it works deserves to be happy too. ;)
Quite possibly the greatest display of patience in forum history. Hats off to you guys.
-
I forgot to add I gave him the Gcode as well, but he would not try and run it.

Try not to get discouraged.

Given the number of Mach3 installations giving good stable service I can't understand why so many muppets insist on assuming that it can't be their config or hardware based on a knowledge level of approximately zero ??? ???
-
yer it's mostly the It guys that do it there response is always the same I have been using computer for X amount of years and I work in IT, what means nothing it's cnc not IT, it's even worse when they argue with admin and the guys that have been doing cnc for 50 years.
it's bad when you have to make them fail to see they are wrong.
but that's life or that's humans for ya

Geez you used to be able to load a DXF into mach2 and have it run what happened???
Sometimes you forget to ask one of the 20 questions up front and you get knee deep into the problem before you realize it has NOTHING to do with Mach3. It is one of those head slap moments.

It was much better than LazyCAM, imo. :)
