Title: Setting G code to output pins
Post by: BCRD on December 16, 2015, 11:31:10 AM
Hi,

I started work at a new shop, they have a cnc plasma that is not working. They bought it used, and had limited success running it. Now it has sat for a couple years and I found the Mach 3 setup at default settings. I think I have it mostly setup properly, but not having success with turning torch on / off. Here are the machine specs:

Precision Cutting Systems Easy Loader (now out of business, was based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada)
CNC X and Y, Z is on a manual switch
Direct drive rack and pinion, approximately 1" diameter gear
Anaheim automation MBC12101 drivers
12v power supply

The BOB is setup with output pin 1 being 5v ttl, and pin 17 providing 12 v @ 300ma. The relay is a 12v  automotive unit, and was connected to output 17.

My question is how do set Mach 3 so that an M3 call turns output 17 high?

By the way, if anybody has a stock xml file for this machine, I would appreciate a copy. Thank you.

Regards,
Jason Wiebe

Thanks for looking, I figured out I was confusing output number with pin #.
