Title: CSMIO/IP-A 4th axis step/dir
Post by: DonMarkey on October 27, 2015, 06:44:02 PM
If I deside to get of of these to drive my existing servo drives, can I configure it some how to use a step/dir signal for my a axis?  Basically I would like to use my existing servo system but add a rotary axis using and extra dc servo drive and motor that accepts step and direction signals.
Thanks
Don

Afraid not, the IP-A can only command analogue drives, the IP-S only Step/Dir.

Maybe you could pick up a drive off eBay that can accept analogue commands?

Probably be best to just get rid of the FET drives and go with all new ones. That way I can save the old drives for spares for  the other mill still running the bx control.
Thanks
