Title: LCam failed to initalize
Post by: hcrotalus on May 06, 2007, 12:04:38 PM
Anyone else having problems after installing the new LCam with the program failing to initalize when started?
I have loaded it successfully on another computer but not the one that I use at the tool.  I have tried unsinstalling LCam and reinstalling several times.  When I click on the LazyCam icon it gives me the error: LaysCam.exe - Application Error  The application failed to initialize properly (0xc150002).  Click OK to terminate the application.

Thanks
Todd

Todd,
The same thing happened to me when I downloaded the Lazy Cam 2.0 program. I haven't been able to get it to run at all.
The older version still runs OK.

Thanks for the reply.  The older version is working for me also.  I guess I'll use that one.

See Arts note on yahoo

One important note though, on one of my computers it refused to run, it turned
out to be a binding error in the OS, which is fixed by updating that computer to .net
platform 2.0. This is a microsoft upgrade to XP, and your system may, or may not,
require that update.. If yu do need it, here is the link.. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=0856EACB-4362-4B0D-8EDD-AAB15C5E04F5&displaylang=en

This fixed mine

Hi, All

Had the some problem with LC, The fix for me was set the Video acceleration in Windows to None.

Start, Control Panel, Display, Settings, select Monitor if you have more than one, Advanced, Troubleshoot, "Hardware acceleration".

Set it to, NONE, Apply, OK.

Worked Hear, Chip

I tried just changing the acceleration to none but that didn't do it on this computer.  I did however upgrade to the .NET 2.0 like was suggested and now it runs just fine.  I never would have thought to do that.  Thanks Todd
