Title: Stepper motor problems
Post by: moraykidz on September 14, 2015, 11:34:12 AM
Hi, After all the problems I have had in getting this 4030 to run, 3 PCI cards only to find out that Mach3 does not run on a 64 bit pc AHHHHHHH, so purchased a 10 year old pc, connected it up and away it went. Brilliant i thought until I pressed the Pg up key on my keyboard for the Z axis to lift the bit up, Guess what happened, The bit went down and when you pressed the Pg down key the bit went up. My question is, Is this an easy fix, Can this be fixed using mach3 software.

Regards

Malcolm

Hi Malcolm,

There are a couple of different ways but if you go into    Config. / Ports & Pins / Motor Outputs   then change the Dir Low Active state (tick/cross) for your Z axis then click Apply that should do the trick.
