Title: Very new - Blonde Moment?

I have recently purchased a CNC router H84 and I am completely new to all of this but I am not new to industrial embroidery and this is where my question comes from
When I design something on the embroidery software I always put automatic start and end in the center of the design so when I load the file on to the machine it knows where I want to start and end and I can line up the needle and fabric - no nasty surprises machine doesn't shoot off somewhere unexpected
I don't seem to be able to get my head around this concept on the router, can I tell the machine the centre coordinates and keep them registered as the home origin so every time I start up the machine it goes straight there? i.e. X200 Y200  or do I have to set it up every time myself and physically move the spindle
or am I just having a blonde moment? or do I set it up on the design before sending to the machine if so I am using VCarve how do I do this?

Yes, if you have home switches.

In Config > Homing Limits, you can enter a "Home Offset", which is the coordinates of the home switches. By adjusting the Home Offsets, you can get your 0,0 position exactly where you want it.

Then make sure you're G54 X and Y offsets are set to zero.

Now, when you home, your 0,0 position will always be in the same place. Your Origin in V Carve Pro will then correspond to the 0,0 position which is relative to your home switches.

Make sure that you never click the Zero X or Zero Y buttons, as they will move your 0,0 position.

Thanks for your reply I have successfully managed this though decided not to reinvent the system lol and use left front as X0,Y0 and I have been playing with the machine but now it has decided to do as asked half way through a design then skip to the right by 20 mm and carry on is it my fault or something loose?

Make sure that there is no binding in any of the axis, and that the screws are lubricated.
You might want to decrease your acceleration and velocity settings in motor tuning by 20% and see if it's more reliable.
