Ok Screen Gurus... Why does the unit indication not show up on my A axis DRO? I've edited the screen set to show units = Left, set the units to inch (also tried metric), added in & mm to inches & metric properties ( all settings the same as the X-Y-Z DRO properties). The unit display showed correctly in the edit screen display but when I exited the editor (and I did save the changes) there are no units in the A DRO. When I go back to the editor the show units property = NONE. This occurs on both machines I have set up (Ver 4.1 Build 2580) and on my demo Version (Ver 4.2 Build 2651). I even tried deleting the A DRO & copying the Z DRO then changing the DRO Code Property to A Multiple POS with no luck. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

try a restart

tried that... no joy... everytime I go to the screen editor the Units property has changed back to none.
-
Also noticed that the same occurs for both B & C axis... unable to get display to show units. :-\

I am getting the same thing. I have submited a ticket for this, I wont hold my breath for a reply I have submitted tickets before with no reply

Hmmmmmmmm, A,B and C are rotational axes. They read in degrees don't they?
-
Not all... depends on your machine & how it's set up. Then there are some what I would call hybrid cases, for example a 3D printer uses A axis for the extruder, rotational but measures linear output of extruded material. I think Mach 3 had a option to select rotational or linear for A-B-C.
-
This is why you have motors and out of band axes in Mach4. No need to eat up a conventional axes. I used rotational axis for linear in Mach3 too but only because I had no choice. Mach4 is not Mach3 and it is definitely different.

Chaoticone its unit machine set to MM or In display on the DRO`s so for me mm 0000

Have you thought of using a wxtextctrl and updating its value using a timer event.

they are set to not show it because they move in digress around around not straight. I asked mach support about it, it was a wast of time asking them they had no clue it does not matter anyway they are set correctly if you are in mm or in anyway, but the rest show units just not A, B and C.
you can get extents to show units on all letter axis`s
