hello!
When using my cnc lathe, that has a rear tool post with tool changer, I can't seem to get the gcode right for cutting.
Everytime I use the lathe wizard, it thinks the tool is in the front and posts that way, how do I change it to use the rear post?
I already tried to change the tool from front to rear im mach 3, still doesnt help, it still assumes that the tool is in the front.
Any help?

HIYA Mike I have not forgot you dude I am trying to find someone that is more familar with turn to help you out. I am way too rusty on it to be of much help. UNLESS no one steps up THEN I will drag out the books and give it a whirl.
Hang in there, (;-) TP

I emailed ya it was the front and rear tool post selection, all must be front or rear

mike^3,
My lathe uses a front tool post and in the tool table they are all designated as front based on a master tool
touch off.
My experience is limited with using a rear tool post, but Hood has specific knowledge.
So,
As you said, "Do Not" mix front and rear tool post in the tool table.
A good example is when trying to use a gang tooling setup as that could easily lead one to create tool offsets as front and rear.
Someone posted a write-up called "Lathe Gang Tooling G52 Offsets". Just thought I would make note of this for other readers
of the thread. Mixing front and rear designations is a recipe for problems.
Note that the X axis + direction is reversed for a rear tool post and if you check "reversed arc's in front tool post"
the motion of G02 and G03 is reversed.

hello!
Any help?
I do it like this - open the program with texteditor and in menu edit and
then replace X to X- replace. That's it!
