Title: Output signal trouble with flood relays.
Post by: glengeniii on April 30, 2007, 10:34:11 AM
I noticed when I run a simulated program on Mach3, the diagnostics page shows that the output for the flood relays is pulsing.  My question is:
       - Is the signal coming from the computer output pin pulsing (switching from active high to active low)?

-If the solid state relay is directly wired to this pin, will it pulse on and off?

-How can I make it so the relay stays on after the appropiate M code comand , and turns off when told too.

Hey Glen,

Yes

If it is a 5volt trigger it will.

M8 turns on flood, M9 turns it off.

Hi, Glen

No, It is only pulsing the led on the screen.

No, It will be in a solid state, High or low depending how you set the setting in Config, Ports & Pins, Output's, (Active Hi or Low).

If it is a 5volt trigger it will. (Most solid state relays are 3 - 30 volts).

M8 turns on flood, M9 turns it off.

Hope this clears the Air(Flood), Chip
