Title: Autocad 2000 and DXF export
Post by: saxmandj on June 16, 2015, 09:07:25 AM
I have Autocad 2000 and am trying to get it to export to lazycam.  I save the file as a DXF in ACAD.  It offers older versions like A12, etc as output formats.  However when I load the file into Lazycam I get nothing and it doesn't save anything.   Is my ACAD too old for this or am I dong something wrong?

 ???

Always save as v12 .dxf from AutoCAD. If you're not getting anything, then you're doing something wrong. Make sure you're saving from modelspace, and that you don't have any blocks.
If you're trying to export text,, it won't work unless you explode it, which requires the Express Tools add on.
