Title: Mach3 working with USB (DDSM35V5.0 Breakout Board)
Post by: hcespedes on June 12, 2015, 09:03:30 PM
For a school project we are building our CNC machine, and we have four limit switches that we want to connect to the inputs in the breakout board. The problem we have right now is that if we connect more than two switches then Mach3 does not recognize the breakout board. We also get a USB not recognized error from the computer. Do we need some driver that needs to be installed to make the breakout board properly? Any ideas or suggestions?
Because if we only have two limit switches then we don't have any problem and everything seems to work fine. Thank you so much!!!

Can you post a link to the breakout board details?  Normally Mach3 will not work with a plain USB to parallel poetry converter.

Oops!  Never come across a parallel poetry converter before, that should be port not poetry!

HIYA John we have converted Music to Mach3 and have MAch3 making music(steppers) but never had Mach3 do poetry . But I guess it could IF you turn on SPEAK and program the poem.

Hello, I was hoping someone can help and recommend a breakout board for a vortech router.
Looking into replacing the damaged board to something with a usb or eithernet cable.
Also if anyone can identify anyparts in the vortech router or who made these routers before they came across the ocean.
