Title: What files should I back up?
Post by: ozymax on February 26, 2015, 07:38:40 AM
Just recently my router computers hard drive decided to die. I managed to get a new HDD up and running with a fresh install of XP and Mach3.
This all went reasonably well.
I had backed up my xml file onto a memory stick, so I figured it wouldn't take much to get the router running again but.......
The saved xml didn't include my saved fixture settings, so I lost all of them. I had to re-write my script for zeroing my tool height also.

So is there more I should've/could've done to save my data??

I just keep a copy of my entire Mach folder on a stick, hopefully I have everything covered then.
Also a copy of my license file.
