Post by: Jugster on February 15, 2015, 09:43:31 PM
Guys,

I've been studying on purchasing a 10 x 22 grizzly lathe and retrofitting it. I've stumbled upon some small lathe work that would be a perfect fit for it. Also I think I need one

If it has a variable speed motor then likely it has a VFD already, either that or it is a DC motor and even then it must have a speed controller if it is variable speed.

Regarding the CSMIO, just make sure it is either an IP-A or IP-S if you want threading as the IP-M cant do Lathe threading, or for that matter rigid tapping.

Yep. I was planning on the stepping up a notch on the controller this time. Definitely want to be able to thread.

Thanks
