Title: Which OS will run Mach 3 with the least hassle?

I recently ordered a CNC Router off eBay and expect it to arrive in about a week from now. In the mean time, I'd like to prep my PC and get a little familiar with the software while I'm waiting for the machine to arrive.

I currently have Win 7 32bit installed, but I use the PC for general home computing. I'm prepared to do a dual boot if necessary, but would like to know which OS will give me the least trouble?

I plan to lay the 3020 Router on a shelf above my PC in my hobby room.
