Title: How to swap the x and y axes
Post by: golash on January 27, 2015, 03:47:02 PM
Hi
I`d like to swap my x and y axes in mach 3. Do I just switch the motor specs in the motor
tuning section of Mach 3. In addition do I need to switch the connectors to the motors
and switch the step and direction from the Gecko 320s to the BOB.

Thanks

Hi
I found the answer. I switched the x and y pins in motor outputs and switched
the specs in motor tuning. I believe switching the motor tuning was necessary
because each motor has a different pulley ratio for the servo motors.
It was not necessary to switch the motor connectors or switch the step, direction
and commons from the Gecko to the BOB

when your done, save this setup as a different profile, then when you start mach3, you can choose which orientation you want to load

Hi
I was not clear. What I meant was the settings for motors velocity and acceleration. Which
are user defined.
