Title: best softwear for mach3

Hi  Folks could somebody point me in the right direction for the best softwear for my cnc machine to carve out clan crests and deer heads on wood i do have lazy cam but i just cant make a go of it. also would like to do signs as well.

Have been trying for a while now.

If you plan on purchasing your 3D models, then MeshCAM or Cut3D will work to create g-code from them. CamBam as well.

If you want to create your own 3D models, then Vectric Aspire may be one of the best options. Note that creating 3D models takes a tremendous amount of practice, and a fair amount of artistic ability.

For sign making you can use Vcarve Pro and for carving crests an like, Aspire, both from Vectric.
As far as I've been "playing" around, I've found that Lazy CAM is not intuitive enough for me to use.

I use Aspire for all my G-Code generation and 2 1/2 D modelling.
