Title: Question from a novice
Post by: Coowee on January 04, 2015, 04:34:14 AM
G'day all,

As my subject title says, I'm a novice.

Mill Wizard was recommended to me by a machinist, that knows what I'm trying to do.

I've done a lot of machining by "hand", but the only thing I've worked out about G-Code is, that it has nothing to do with finding the G-Spot !

As a complete novice, would it be too much to ask for a couple of videos, to make life a little easier.

I know a lot of this stuff may seem terribly elementary to some, but It's a bit daunting for us novices.

Thanks for your time.

Michael

There are two videos on how to use the wizards on youtube. They are a bit old, there are now more operations in the current version, but they do show how to operate the wizards.

Note that these will show how to use the wizards to generate gcode, but will not show you how to use the resulting gcode on a mill.
