Title: Zero Radius Arc
Post by: Michael297 on December 14, 2014, 03:37:35 PM
I would appreciate some input on a "Zero Radius Arc" message I'm getting.  I've searched to the ends of the Internet and had no luck.  The error is cutting dogbone fillets out of a part.  I'm using a 1/8 endmill and the fillet's at .125"  As suggested by other posts I drew a .125" diameter circle at the problem area representing the tool and it fit in and out of the fillet correctly.  The code as G91.1 a the beginning as other posts have indicated.

I seem to get the error anywhere where I see I0.0000J0.0001 as part of the line.  The first error I get on the following Gcode is line 3540.

Thanks for any help,
Mike

Vetric is putting out code that for the most part cannot be done based on the resolution of your machine. That arc is an .0001" arc which is probably Less than your machine can move it one step. For the most part Mach3 can absorb those type moves BUT it being in an arc call it does not seem to be able to absorb the move and continue.

You should be able to set the CAM to not do such small moves. Then repost and try it.

Just a thought, (;-) TP
