Title: G-REX Outputs
Post by: mhdale on April 03, 2007, 07:39:16 PM
Hello All, I have just got my G-Rex hooked up and actually talking and have started designing the screen interface for our machine. I have a question about outputs on the GREX. I am new to the G-Rex and not quite a newby to Mach but I have noticed that when my MACH is in an estop - and I push a screen button that activates an output, my outputs will still strobe on briefly. I was wondering if this is a bug or something? This could cause some disastrous problems with the machine we are putting together. I can put a safety relay on the estop circuit which would disable any output I was just wondering if this is "normal"

That is a strange one! This will be an art question when he gets back. I haven't noticed that one but mine is buried in a cabinet and i still am on an older version of the software. ( I am waiting for some of the bugs to shake out)

I dont know what to say Chad, at first I thought that My code was screwy or I had not implemented my I/O correctly then I noticed that I had not "RESET" my mach on startup, once I did that everything did what it was supposed to do.... but not until after the Large port air valve cleaned off my desk for me ;) If anyone else out there has a GREX hooked up and running the laetst firmare try hitting your mach reset button then turning an output on.... It could just be me, historically I am a murphy magnet, I attract odd and unusual behavior in all things mechanical and electrical.
