Title: Lost my tool table
Post by: ChrisAttebery on September 11, 2014, 12:32:29 PM
I've been using Mach Standard Mill for about 18 months and had saved all of my tools in the Mach tool table. I upgraded my milling machine this summer and added an Ethernet Smooth Stepper and spindle speed control so I created a new profile in MSM. I did not reinstall Mach3 or MSM. After a long break I started using the mill again this week and found that all of my saved tools are gone. I've been using the function built in to MSM to save the stock tool table and it has worked fine up until this point. Is there any way to recover it? What is the name of the stock mach internal tool table?

"The save button does the same operation that Mach3 has traditionally done: it saves the memory tool table to a (Mach3 internal use only) disk file."

Thanks,

Chris

In your old profile Macro folder search for the " tools3.dat "  file and copy that to the new profile macro folder.
standard location is:  C:\Mach3\ " your old profile " \ Macros\ tools3.dat
hope that helps.
