Title: Adobe Illustrator Drill Holes
Post by: flyandi on September 05, 2014, 11:30:51 PM
Howdy,

I am brand new to the CNC world and I spent the last 7 days trying to get a very simple problem resolved. I understand that Lazycam doesn't see circles as drillholes as long as their are polylines or splines, however my question is what does LazyCam consider as a drillhole?

I tried everything from simple circles to dots - even a circle with 360 anchor points  - it cuts the circle perfectly but I don't want the circle - it should just drill the hole (down/up/done).

Let me know if anyone has an idea and how to make drill holes with Adobe Illustrator that are recognized by LazyCam - at least so I can use the Drill hole function.

Thx,

Andy

Ok - After more doing some more experiments I finally got a working circle from Illustrator.

Now the issue is that when everytime I hit the drill I get an assertation failure note + sometimes an OpenGL Error .. however it makes the drill hole - I just can make one at a time - save - reload the program - do the next ...

any ideas?
