Title: I have a new xp computer

This is a new xp computer that i will use only for cnc routing. It does not have access to the internet. I want to purchase Mach3 with my computor that access's the internet but does not have a serial port like the xp computer which i need to run Hobby cnc.After purchase can i down load mach3 to a thumb drive and install it on the xp or is it only good to run on the downloading computer ?

Hi Mrputz1,

You can download the Mach3 version of your choice, copy this download to a thumb drive then install it on any computer. The Mach3 license can be copied to your thumb drive and then copied to any computer in a similar manner.

Thank you so much . I am new and going to build a cnc router, I did not want to purchase the software if i could only use it on one computer.

Hi -

You can buy a USB to Serial lead (£1.15) or a Pci to two Serial ports card (£3.00 approx) both from Ebay. Cheaper than a new computer!
